    • AKA Hendrika

Henny was hidden by a Catholic family during the holocaust, after she was reunited with her family she converted and became a nun, in a convent on the Belgian border. Was not allowed to be in contact with her family except for one day a year. The family would visit once a year. They would visit and sing children’s songs, since that was all they had in common. Initially there was a glass partition between them, but by the end they were able to walk together and hug!. Phillip Diamant was close with Henny, and had a pen-pal relationship. [2, 3]
