  • Notes
    • Grandma was the first in the long line of Blooms to have poor eyesight. I believe they all suffered from cataracts. Grandma had a cataract removal operation late in life. This was performed by the same physician who operated on the King of Siam. How well I can recall sometime shortly after the operation, while at a party, she was offered a tray of hors d'oeuvres. She went right to the tooth pick and picked it up. Strange what remains in the mind of a child. [2]
