Note: Several photos have been identified with the help of my awesome ScubaBoard buddies! Those are now in italics.
All fish were photographed at recreational depths (30-100 feet) in Truk Lagoon, Micronesia. I figured out most of the fish I photographed, but I couldn't identify these, even using the Humann and DeLoach book. Any ideas about species identification? Thanks!
1) A damselfish, but markings don't match typical Blue Damsel. Something like Milne Bay or Springers's Damsel?
2) Some kind of Fangblenny. Looks very much like the Yellowtail (Forktail) Fangblenny, but without the eye stripe that is present on all the photos I could find.
3) Blue Spotted Toby (AKA Solander's Toby), Juvenile
4) A Cardinalfish, but with blue and black markings
5) Another Cardinalfish
6) Oriental Wrasse?
7) Doublespot Wrasse (AKA Red-Lined Wrasse), Juvenile
8) Some sort of Damselfish. Chromis?
9) Yellowspotted Trevally
10) Tiny fish, looks like a damselfish. Neon? Juvnile?
11) Peacock (blue) Damselfish? Juvenile?
12) Longjaw (Sabre) Squirrelfish
