The 2008 Spring into the Arts press release
"SPRING into the ARTS", a new festival of art, floral arts, music, fashion, food and dance will be produced by Closter Improvement Commission on Sunday, April 6th at 4:00 pm at Northern Valley Regional High School, 162 Knickerbocker Road, Demarest. (Doors open 3:30 pm).
Festival attendees will be treated to performances by numerous professionals. The artists who are residents of Closter, Demarest and Haworth, all perform, mostly in the New York City theatres, New York Philharmonic, and off-Broadway shows. Remarkably good and award winning teen dance groups will lead off the program.
Supermodel, TV personality and author EMME will be mistress of ceremonies while professional show director Victoria Pero will direct the showing of fashions by local designers.
While the abundance of local professional artists have filled all the available stage time, volunteers are needed to help with the gourmet food sales and other chores on the day of the show.
Those residents who might have 3 or 4 hours to give to our community on Sunday, April 6th from 3 – 6 pm can email Ann McConnell at mymczeeb@aol.com or call Eric Mattes at 201-768-8557.
Along with the need for volunteers there is still space available for a few restaurants or caterers to sell or offer samples of their food.
Anyone wishing to purchase an ad advertising your business or wishing good luck to the performers may do so by downloading the form. Click here to do so.
